Electronic Renaissance

YouTube has gone bananas with this whole live feed thing. Broadcasting live from San Francisco this past Saturday is just the beginning of the newest electronic movement. I mean who watches TV on a television anymore? People stuck in the twentieth century apparently!

So Katy Perry performed, Akon, stupid as ever Soulja Boy, and a bunch of other people I don't care too much about. But one bright spot was the always adorable Julia Nunes, who first become famous with a series of YouTube videos of her covering awesome songs with her ukulele. Yes UKUELE. How badass is that? They should call it U-cool-ele. Yeah, I really went there...

If you haven't seen her awesomeness yet, scoot on over to YT and check out some more videos. Then listen to a few shwanky covers here, and after you promptly fall head over heels, hit up iTunes for her first original album (her latest release has yet to make it on the music service).

Peace, Love, and Wishing for More Unusual Instrumentation,
